Do I tolerate all LGBT people?

I was asked, “Do I tolerate all LGBT people?” the answer “Hell No!”  I can’t stand when a LGBT member of society thinks it’s all right to use words like “Fag”, “Flamer”, “Queer and other terms.  LGBT people are the most discriminated in America, and by doing that, they are just fueling the controversy.   I also can’t stand when straight people say “that’s gay”, think about it.   When “that’s gay” is used, it’s often when something goes wrong or is bad.   So they are connecting “that’s gay” with being bad.

I stand strong for LGBT rights and non-discrimination.

Love Peace and Prayers,

  1. Ok, Justin. I love you and all, but you just struck a small nerve with me. In the letters of the rainbow (LGBTQIQA - and I guess it could go on forever), the letters stand for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, QUEER, intersex, questioning, and ally. Many, many, many people identify as queer because they don't want to put themselves in a specific box, sexually or in regards to gender. Queer can mean gay, bi, pansexual, etc. I don't really like the term "bi" because I think it reinforces a male/female gender binary. Also, "gender queer" often refers to people who fall somewhere on the gender continuum but doesn't want to identify as 100% male/100% female.

I agree that I don't really like the words "fag" and "flamer" or whatever else (though it mainly only bothers me when it's used in a hateful way against other members of our community, or in the company of non-allies and LGBT people), but please understand "queer" is how a lot of people identify.
